Overview

If you're in the heart of Brussels and craving a delightful blend of flavors that transport you straight to the vibrant streets of India, Cinnamon Curry at Av. d'Auderghem 132 is the place to be. Located in one of the most bustling areas of the city, this restaurant offers a rich and aromatic menu full of authentic curry dishes that will satisfy even the most discerning palate.

Walking into Cinnamon Curry, you are immediately greeted by the warm scent of freshly ground spices. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with an understated yet charming décor that makes it feel like home. The attentive staff, always ready with a smile, enhances the experience, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed from the moment they step through the door.

The menu at Cinnamon Curry offers a wide variety of options, from mild to spicy, catering to every taste preference. If you’re new to Indian cuisine or looking for something light, the classic chicken tikka masala is a great place to start. The tender chicken is bathed in a creamy, tomato-based sauce, and the blend of spices is perfectly balanced. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy vindaloo will surely satisfy. With its fiery kick and layers of complex flavors, it's a dish that stands out among the many options.

Vegetarians will also find plenty of choices to delight in. The aloo gobi, made with cauliflower and potatoes, is a staple, perfectly spiced with cumin, turmeric, and coriander. It's a dish that’s both hearty and flavorful, providing a satisfying, meat-free option. For a heartier vegetarian meal, try the dal tadka-lentils cooked with ghee, garlic, and spices, offering a rich and comforting taste that pairs wonderfully with a side of basmati rice or naan.

Speaking of naan, the bread here is a standout. Whether you go for the traditional butter naan or the garlic naan, it’s the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of sauce from your curry. The freshly baked, soft texture combined with a crispy exterior adds a delightful crunch, making it a must-try.

Not to be overlooked are the restaurant's rice dishes. The biryani at Cinnamon Curry is a perfect mix of fragrant basmati rice, tender meat, and spices. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, with the ideal amount of heat and a subtle sweetness that comes from the cinnamon and cardamom used in the preparation. Whether you opt for chicken, lamb, or the vegetarian version, each bite is an explosion of flavor that takes you right to the heart of South Asian cuisine.

For those who prefer a lighter option, Cinnamon Curry offers a variety of salads and small plates that are fresh and vibrant. The cucumber and mint raita is a refreshing side that helps balance the spices of the curries, while the papadum adds a crunchy texture to the meal. Don’t forget to try the mango lassi, a sweet, creamy drink that perfectly complements the spices in the food.

The service at Cinnamon Curry is consistently praised by visitors. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can help guide you through the options based on your preferences, whether you’re looking for something mild or prefer to test your spice tolerance. The waitstaff is attentive without being overbearing, ensuring that your meal is seamless from start to finish.

I have to say that I am not a lover of Indian food but, reading different reviews, I decided to try. Actually, it was a good experience! The menu is really big so it is a bit difficult to choose. Some pictures would definitely help who, like me, do not really know the plates. In any case, I tried a starter and a main dish (a mixed grill) and both were quite good (not too spicy). In my opinion, furnitures could be improved. The inner side is not bad but the space close to the windows feels a bit "empty" and could be improved. Overall, definitely not bad.

We discovered this restaurant through a social deal and we were pleasantly suprised. It’s not as fancy as other indian restaurants but the food is excellent. And the price quality ratio incredible. Every dish was amazing. We highly recommend coming here.

The food was delicious! Our first Indian in a while and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very friendly. We were served by a waitress who was more than kind, unfortunately didn’t speak English but between my secondary school French and a bit of miming she was very helpful and attentive. One small thing was that they only took cash which wasn’t brought to our attention before our meal so I had to walk to the square to take cash out after our food, but other than that would 100% come back!
